A new tool for continuous monitoring of the glacier ablation
A2PS recently released SmartStake, an autonomous station for tracking continuously the glacier mass loss along the melt season. Validated by the IGE Lab during 2 seasons on Argentière glacier, SmartStake will soon provide valuable data directly from the main world reference glaciers, with the support of WGMS and the Kilian Jornet Foundation.
