The Laboratoire des Écoulements Géophysiques et Industriels and A2 Photonic Sensors will be presenting the M2 optical fiber Doppler probe technique and its applicability to air-assisted atomization analysis at the 2021 edition of the International Conference on Liquid Atomization & Spray Systems
A joint study between the CNRS-LEGI laboratory, our long-term scientific partner, and our company was recently conducted in order to determine how our innovative M2 optical fiber Doppler probe technique can help characterizing a spray and understanding the mechanisms of assisted atomization. The output of the study will be presented and discussed during the coming ICLASS 2021 conference which will be held virtually from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland UK) on August 30-September 2, 2021.
Without unveiling too much of the results, we shall say that the optical fiber Doppler probe technique provided accurate and reliable information about the droplet velocity and size distributions as well as about the local flux. The solution should therefore be considered as a very good candidate for spray characterization and air-assisted atomization.
